Employment

Working as a PO professional is an extremely rewarding career with the opportunity to positively impact the lives of thousands of people helping them live more integrated and fulfilling lives.

Employment prospects are very good, with prosthetists and orthotists being highly sought after, not only in Southeast Asia but in many locations. Graduate Prosthetist-Orthotists are employed by private clinics, public health services and by specialist charities/NGO’s working with persons with disabilities.

As expertise is developed and further study is undertaken, opportunities may become available to work as senior clinicians, clinical management or as lecturers.

Many Cambodian graduates work in the Physical Rehabilitation Centres run by Exceed and other organisations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross and Handicap International. In addition, many of CSPO’s graduates have progressed to teaching or managerial positions, where their skills and knowledge can be passed to others.

International students will return to their home countries to play vital roles in developing their national prosthetics and orthotics services.
